  • Allāh the Most High Said: “And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents...” [17:23] After Allāh Almighty, there is none who has realised a greater favour to any person than one’s own parents. His mother bore him in extreme difficulty and went through great hardship and trouble while carrying him. Both parents performing their best in raising him, providing love and compassion and working hard to spend on him; spending sleepless nights tending to him while ignoring their own wants and desires. Islām has gone to great lengths in impressing piety towards parents and indicating reward and punishment associated to it. A person with basic common sense understands the rights of the one who renders favours to him; not recognising such rights is from the most deprived qualities one can assume. A person who is dutiful and good to his parents should know that no matter how diligent he is towards them, he can never repay or thank them for their rights and privileges granted to them by Allāh. The renowned and eminent scholar, Ibn al-Jawzī penned this emotive book upon witnessing disregard and neglect some of the youth in his time had for their parents and kin, and not regarding it to be a necessary part of religion. He therefore felt the need to compile a short tract on these obligations so that the unaware may take heed and reassess the shortfalls in regards to their own obligations. He arranged it into seamless chapters touching on divine basis for being dutiful to parents and enjoining ties of kinship. This English rendering of Ibn al-Jawzī’s ‘Birrul Wālidayn’ will assuredly lead to marked positive realignment of our own relationships with our parents and families. And Allāh grants the means and ability to whomsoever He Wills. Learn More
  • Al-Hikmah is a divine prerogative. It is a gift from Allāh granted to whomever He Wills from among His servants. Some define it as 'beneficial knowledge that corroborates with good righteous deeds'; others say it is 'doing an appropriate act at the most appropriate time and place'; and yet others deem it to be foresightedness, comprehension, felicitous conduct and good opinion. All of these definition are in fact befitting and apt. Allāh, The Most High bestowed Luqmān (upon him be peace) with much foresight, intelligence and profound judgement - injecting it deep into his heart whereby his words, deeds and manners were grounded in wisdom. Allāh Revealed: "And indeed we bestowed upon Luqmān Al- Hikmah..." [Luqmān (31): 12] The instructions and advices found in the story of Luqmān Al-Ḥakīm comprise noble guidance and contain perfect conduct in inviting people towards Allāh, and nurturing of children. It speaks of proper upbringing of a generation, describing ways to success and teaching people holistic goodness. Making it incumbent upon every mentor, father and teacher to pay attention to the prescriptions found therein; providing contemplation and deriving exemplary lesson plans in the field of propagating and education. These lessons can tangibly facilitate in drawing hearts and enriching minds. Consisting of elementary details that appeal to one’s good conscience; for indeed putting across Allāh’s Message to mankind requires proper planning and tact that is plentiful within the story. One who advises to such a degree is indeed blessed with prudence - a blessing from Allāh, not just for Luqmān but for anyone who takes him as a role-model. Learn More

  • Great historical personalities are inevitably popular subjects for biography and cursory glance at a list of biographies composed about the Prophet Muhammad SAW will confirm him, by universal consensus, as the greatest personality of all time. He is – by any standard – the most perfect example of mankind in every aspect: the Trustworthy Messenger to whom Allah entrusted His final Revelation and the model Muslims are commanded to follow and obey. While other biographical literature varies widely in terms of authorship, authenticity, length, breadth of detail and historical, cultural and religious perspective, this work attempts to assimilate the most beneficial aspects of all these features. At once concise and comprehensive, it relies heavily on rigorously authenticated (sahih) and fully referenced sources, and is brimming with knowledge that ‘delights the soul and adorns the pages’. Its Arabic edition has consequently achieved the deserved status of an indispensable manual for both the adept and budding student of knowledge. We pray that this English version will prove equally beneficial. Cover: Paperback Author: Imam Abul Fath Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Publisher: Turath Publishing Pages: 96 Size: 21.5 x 14.2cm Learn More
  • Allāh Most High Said, "And whatever the Messenger has given you, take it; and what he has forbidden you, refrain from it." [Al-Hashr (59):7] The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said, "I have not left out anything of which Allāh, The Most High has Commanded you with except I have apprised you of it. Likewise, I have not left out anything of which Allāh has Prohibited you from it, except I have apprised you of it..." [Al Bayhaqi, 7/76 & others] Together with the Qur'ān, the Sunnah is the pivotal foundation and primary source of the Islāmic faith. Following both of them is mandated by Allāh Himself and obligated upon Muslims to adhere and live accordingly. Muslim theology is established upon them and remains defective and incomplete should either be forsaken for they both explain and interpret each other. During his time, Imām al-Suyūṭī felt a genuine need to pen this compelling book in confuting those who either rejected the Sunnah altogether or did not grant it the status and respect it deserves in the religion. He primarily compiled from the works of Imām Al-Bayhaqī elucidating the position of Imām Shāfi'ī, and firmly laid out the arguments supporting the Sunnah of the Prophet by outlining its critical importance, its authority and implication to one's life. Salvation therefore lies in embracing the Sunnah fully, for indeed it is the key to facilitating our worldly lives and thereafter, unlocking the doors of Paradise, as Shādh ibn Yaḥyā said perfectly, "There is no better way to Paradise than the way of those who have followed the Sunnah." The author, Imām ʿAbdu'l-Raḥmān Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī [d. 911H] was born in 849H, Cairo, Egypt. He was raised as an orphan after the death of his father when he was aged five. He became a prolific Scholar of Ḥadīth and renowned in many sciences, including Tafsīr, Sīrah, History, Fiqh, Medicine and many others. He was distinguished for his modesty, kindness, righteousness and piety. May Allāh shower His Mercy upon him. Learn More
  • Imam Ibn Rajab | Dar As-Sunnah It is an important commentary on the noble hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) that was recorded in the collection of Sunan Tirmidhi relating the dispute among the chief angels of the Highest Heaven. The dispute arose about deeds that expiate sin and raise a person’s rank in the Hereafter. The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said of this hadith, “Indeed, it is the truth, so study and learn it.” Therefore it is necessary for every Muslim to take extra keen interest in learning its lessons, understanding its values and applying its highly prized recommendations. The esteemed author beautifully explains the hadith in details and highlights the importance of enacting righteous deeds by which Allah wipes out with them, sins and wrongdoings, while elevating a person to higher degrees on the Day of Judgment. The hadith also comprises great supplications that the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) was given in the lofty encounter with his lord; all of which occurred when he all of a sudden felt drowsy until asleep overtook him during the night prayer. He additionally discuses concepts of dreams and miracles, the excellence of ablution and performing it well, performing prayer in congregation, the night prayer, walking to the Masjid, feeding the poor and one’s neighbours, right etiquette in speaking, having humility and contentment, enjoining the love of Allah and increasing it for purpose of drawing closer to Him. Abu Darda' (Allah be pleased with him) said, "Indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing be upon him) say: 'Whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, then Allah makes easy a path for him towards Paradise. The angels lower their wings approvingly for the seeker of knowledge. Indeed everything in the Heavens and on Earth seeks forgiveness for the scholar, even the fish in the sea. The virtue of the scholar over the worshipper is like the full moon over all the other planets. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. The Prophets do not leave gold or silver to be inherited, rather they leave knowledge, so whoever takes from that has taken an abundant share."
